Top Three

Thursday’s Top Three (TTT #012)

As part of this series, I’m sharing the Top Three articles I’ve read over the prior week with you all every Thursday.

The articles that are featured can either be fresh or selected from other blogs’ archives. The only rule to be included in the collection is that it’s an article that I’ve read in that particular week.

Generally, I try to select pieces that made me think about something from a new perspective or that emotionally spoke to me. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did!

Here are this week’s TTT:

Dave from Accidental Fire on being self-sufficient
Have you ever seen someone carry a bike on a stand-up paddle board? How about carrying a stand-up paddle board on a bike? Dave shares some resourceful approaches to life and reflects on how self-sufficiency helped on his FI journey.

Kevin from The Sensible Merchant on a painful loss
As you may know by now, I’m a big fan of sharing both wins as well as losses. You can win, or you can learn. Kevin got caught up in a gamble and paid the price. He wants you to avoid his mistakes, so have a read through to learn from his pain in order to avoid your own.

Joel from BudgetsAreSexy on how a scam led to a free cruise
I love this story. It’s both a warning to not fall for scams, as well as a redemption story. And, as is often the case with Joel’s articles, it’s told in a really charming way. If you want a feel-good-story, check this one out.

Do YOU want to be featured? Have you written an article that I absolutely must read?
Let me know about it, and I’ll consider including it in the next TTT.
